Jamie Levine is a Licensed
Certified Birth Educator through the Academy of Certified Birth
Educators. She has been teaching Childbirth Education classes
at Norwalk Hospital since 2000. Jamie now offers private sessions
for couples in the comfort of their homes. Sessions include

The Last Months of Pregnancy Discussion of why the last months of pregnancy are so uncomfortable. You will be shown exercises that will minimize current discomforts, as well as, ease the labor process.
False vs. Real Labor
What is false labor and how to differentiate it from real labor.
The Stages of Labor In depth discussion of each phase (early, active and transition), comfort measures (including breathing, relaxation and massage techniques) and most commonly used medications including epidurals.
Cesarean Sections - Why they are
needed, and what to expect
How to Prepare for the Hospital
and What to Expect When you Get there
It is best to take this class when you are 30-36 weeks pregnant. Cost per hour $100 (discounted rate for additional couples). Class time averages
2.5 - 3 hours.
Additional Option:
What to Expect Postpartum Couples don't realize that it's sometimes more stressful after the baby is born than to actually go through labor. This hour includes a detailed discussion about changes that occur (physical and emotional), exercises to do with and without baby that help mom get back into her prepregnant shape. Choosing a pediatrician (setting the criteria for selection) and options for childcare are also discussed.
This additional hour long session includes an exercise band, demos, and handouts - $100.00
