| How many days a week should I exercise? | ||
The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommend that pregnant women exercise on all, if not most, days of the week. If you cannot exercise that much, don't be discouraged. Any safe and appropriate exercise you do will provide benefit to both you and your baby. Keep in mind that some days you may not have the energy to exercise. Always refer to the ABC'S of Prenatal Fitness ‚ Awareness, Balance, Cardio and Strength. Each day, being Aware of how you feel and determining where exercise fits into your Balance of life -- will help you create your Cardio and Strength plan. Practicing the relaxation and stretching exercises may be just what you need to feel better on those days. Always be aware of how you feel, and based on that assessment, choose the exercise program that makes the most sense for you on that day. Close Window |
